Ignorant Judgment
I had entered a Christian chat room, seeking comfort from whomever the Lord would lead me too. There was a large group of Christians, and at least one person claiming to be Muslim. I was grossly ashamed as I saw at least one christian throwing statements like "All Muslims are terrorist", "I would be a Muslim, but I don't like bombs", and things like that. I was shocked, and very ashamed at this persons ignorance. In another room, I saw the same thing, but with more christians doing the same.
It can not be denied the existence of terrorist groups, nor can it be denied that some are of the Muslim faith. But how is it that so many equate all Muslims as terrorists? Even saying that all terrorists are Muslims is grossly ignorant.
How can they be so foolish? Do they not know the history of their own religion? The hands of Christians are thoroughly stained with blood. No group or people are guilty of greater sins then the Christian church through history. The Crusades, The Inquisition, Missionaries killing those that refuse the Faith, War between Catholics and Protestants, Abortion Clinic bombings. The Bible and God have been used to justify wars since almost the beginning, The KKK uses God and the Bible to justify their hate, the list goes on seemingly forever. My point is, religion is just a cover, these people do what they do because they hate. And when you hate, you can distort and twist anything to justify whatever you want it to justify.
A paraphrase of an old parable comes to mind. A man is robbed and beaten almost to death. He lay by the side of the road, dying. A man comes by, a christian, who ignores him. Another comes by, a Muslim. The Muslim helps the man, sees him to the hospital. Who is the good man?
I tell you the truth, I would rather call a true Muslim my friend then hateful christians that twist God to their own murderous and hateful uses. Me and my Muslim friend may differ greatly on all things, but we agree on that which is truly important, love, friendship, and goodness. And that is what is important, loving others as we love ourselves.
In the end, it is not a persons belief's that make them a terrorist, it's their hate. Things such as Religion, Race, etc are just labels, and when you judge action based on a label, you are worse then those you judge, for you are guilty of hate, judging and ignorance. This is why Jesus said, do not Judge, for we are only human, and do not have the intelligence to render a fair and complete judgment.
Ok, rant over, I'm feeling better now.
